How Long Will It It Take To Heal If Diagnosed As Traumatic Arthritis, Bursitis After Hurting Knee From Falling?

I had a fall 6 weeks ago ,just under my knee was hit hard against the ground , diagnosed with Traumatic Arthritis and bursitis , swelling gone down now , but sudden darts of pain up and down the leg especially in bed at night ! Should I be wearing a support still during the day , should I be doing ex cerise like walking , what will help to heal this problem , it is very tender still , I have rested it a lot over the 6 weeks ! How long will it take to heal ?

Hi
I dont think as of suddenly after trauma you get arthritis.....it takes a long to get arthritis after injury to any joint.
From my point of view you should get x ray to rule out fracture and mri knee to rule out for ligament tear and menisci tear.
Till you get the test done wear knee brace apply ice and take mild analgesic.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
