How Long Will It Take For The Pain To Go?

Had a positive test for DVT, Ultra sound could not find a clot in the leg. I'm on steroids and Antibiotics for 4 days. How long should it take for the pain in my leg to go, I’m still getting a tight, mild cramp in ankle and calf and now behind the knee?

Hi. What was the positive DVT test. The confirmatory test is a Color Doppler a modified Ultrasound. If that did not pick up DVT then its quite unlikely that you have DVT. Even if you do then steroids and antibiotics are not the treatment for the same. Do let me know what test suggested DVT and then I can guide you along with the treatment. You can send the report to me on ' Ask a Specialist ' section of the site. Take care. Look forward to hearing from you.
