How Long Will It Take To Cure Bunionectomy Surgery?

Hello I had a left bunionectomy on 4-27-12. I am in my second round of antibiotics for a reaction inside the sugical line to the dissolvable sutures. Pieces of suture string and serous drainage are coming out. How long will this take to resolve? Will the surgical site open up completely? Recalls to a product line?

Hi,

This will take the time-based in the control of the infection. With antibiotics, there will be control of infection and the wound healing will happen.

Don't worry about the suture, because in no case the suture will open.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
