How Long Will It Take To Normalize Sucked Punched With An Open Palm To The Eye?

I was sucked punched with an open palm to the eye and cheek area and have had numbness in my teeth and lip on my right side for over a day now. I also have swelling under my eye and some bruising. I m wondering how long it will take for the feeling to return before seeing a doctor.

Hello
It seems from the history that you had a injury to the eye by palm of the hand following which you are having swelling under the eyes and numbness on right side of face.
The swelling is because of collection of blood in the layers of the skin and this will decrease over 3-4 weeks. Application of cold compress will hasten the recovery.
However numbness on the face indicates indicates injury to the nerve supply, hence this requires evaluation by X-ray to rule out fractures of that side of the facial bones.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
