How Much Is The Risk Of Osteoporosis For The Bone Under Plate?

Hi, 1 month ago I had a surgery on my left hand; the surgeon used a plate to fix the ulna that was fractured in the middle. He says that it is risky to remove it. Is that right? How much is the risk of refracturing after removing the plate? If the plate remains in my forearm, how much is the risk of osteoporosis for the bone under the plate?

In hand forearm , plate can be left for any amount of time. Though there is minimal osteoporosis can occur but it is not very harmful. If you want you can get it removed. Please send me x ray so that i can give you better information about when you should get this plate removed.
