How Much Lactogen Can Be Given To An Infant?

hi.. iam 26yr old..i do not have sufficient breastmilk for my son.. he is our first born.. so we also give lactogen... is it safe? how much to give ? whats the frequency.. pls reply in detail.. will it give him too much body weight??? can we introduce semi solid food by 4 months so as to stop lactogen?jasmine

what is age of your son? Lactogen is safe. Quantity of lactogen is decided by weight of child. In general you make 60 ml of feed each time. if he compete it then next time u prepare 90 ml of feed. frequency is generally gap of 3-4 hours. bottle feed child have more weight then breastfed babies. add semisolid by the age of 6 month.and tapering the quantity of lactogen over 1 year
