How Much Pain And Funny Feelings Has To Be Tolerated Due To Catheterisation?

I had a heart cath last Monday after classic chest and arm pain; received a stet with one artery 99 percent blocked. Felt better and still seem to be doing pretty well except for lots of funny feelings in chest and arm where cath entered; slight pressure and pain at times. I am 50, male and was relatively healthy. How much pain, funny feelings, and etc. should be tolerated. thanks very much, Jeff

Hi,welcome to HCM,
During catheterisation ,as the catheter traverses through the arterial system, occasionally there can nerve stimulation of the blood vessels.this can lead to tingling and numbness along with strange funny feelings.this phenomenon can be quite normal.these feelings do not pose any threat to your life. They subside with time.
consult your cardiologist for further queries.
thank you
