How Much Time Will It Take To Have The Effect Of Taking Walamycin Medicine?

hi, my baby is 10 months old getting frequent loosmotion from yesterday almost 6 to 7 time. we are giving walamycin but it not able to control please suggest, almost 3 dose of walamycin have given. also tell how much time this medicine takes to show the effect.

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Antibiotics help only if there is bacterial infection. 90 percent of the loose motions are because of viral infection. |Antibiotics have no role if it is a viral infection.In case of bacterial infection there will be blood or mucus in the stool along with fever.

Monitor for signs of dehydration.
They include
1. Decreased skin turgor
2. Increasing thirst.
3. Sunken eyes.
4. Irritability.
5. Drowsiness.
6. Decreasing passage of urine.
