How Much Water Should Be Given To An Infant While Starting Semi Solid Diet?

Hi. I have a 6month baby boy who has been exclusively breastfed uptil now. Since i have started giving him semi solids, may i know how much water should i give to my baby and in what quantity? Is a spoon and bowl ideal for giving water or i need a sippy cup. Thanks

Hi, Thanks for asking. In my opinion offer the sips of water to him regularly and let him take the quantity he requires. The body itself regulates the water intake by the thirst mechanism.As for spoon or sippy cup, use whatever is convenient to you and the baby.
