How Safe Is Ethuyrox 100mg Instead Of Thyroxin?

Hi sir/ madam iam 26 old, Actually Doctor suggested me to take thyroxin 25 mg daily in the morning before breakfast.I used to it in 3 months,But recently the thyroxin 25 mg is not available in medical shop.so,the medical shop gave me ethuyrox100 mg and now I will be using half tablet daily.please suggest is it any complications occur(side effects).please provide answer.

Brief answer:Safe as thyroxin.Actually both drugs work by same mechanism.
Detailed answer:If i am your physician,would suggest you to take levothyroxine sodium tablet(Euthyrox,Eltroxin) which works better than thyroxine sodium and nowadays commonly used for treating hypothyroidism.Don't take half tablet of euthyrox 100mcg if you are on 25 mcg.Inform this to your treating physician and get approval for any alternative prescription.Hope i have answered your query.If any other questions,happy to answer you.Take care.
