How Safe Is It To Take Caspirin During Pregnancy?

i am 34 years, and currently i am 22 week pregnant. my blood pressure is high, i have been monitoring this week, reading is around 145/100. doctor subscribed me casprin, i have been taken it for a week, but i still cannot see any improvement. Is it safe to take caspirin now? how long would it take to see the effectiveness?

Hi,

Casprin is anti-platelet or blood thinner. It is not for blood pressure control. You should discuss with your gynecologist, they would have had started for a reason. If the blood pressure is high for next visit also, then you need to be started on antihypertensive agent which is pregnancy safe.
