How Serious Is Being Diagnosed With Septic Shock?

Hi doctor Grief. A close family member was diagnosed with septic shock. She has been in the hospital for 5 months straight and on monday her urine and teeth along with her mouth turned green. How serious is this matter and can she survive? The doctors say that it has entered her blood stream.
