How Should Back Pain With Stiffness Due To Injury Be Treated?

Hi. I m a 51 year old, I feel down my deck steps this morning. Took 2 alevels and have been icing . I hurt my lower back and upper back. I ve been trying to get up and walk around slowly every 2 hrs so I don t stiffen up which happens fast after laying down. Was wondering if there is anything else I should be doing or if I should go to the dr.
