How Should Hand And Knuckle Swelling With Pulling Be Treated?

Hello. I fell over something in my living room last Saturday and as I fell, I hit my right hand, middle finger along our wooden coffee table. I don t believe it is broken. I have had swelling that has come down, but is still around the knuckle. I have regained movement, but feel a pull when I try to curl my finger down into my fist. I am wondering if I need to see a doctor or if this is ligament swelling and will rectify on its own. Thanking you in advance.
