How Should I Handle A Cold To Prevent Upper Respiratory Infection?

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have managed to catch a cold. I fear things like this because of my non functioning immune system. The last time I got a cold it turned into an upper respiratory infection. I am on arava, plaquenil and methorexate. How should I handle this cold?

Hello
I'd suggest zinc lozenges and vitamin C tablets as well as plenty of juices.
You also can use a saline nasal irrigation system.

If your cold symptoms aren't resolved after about five days you should see your doctor
