How Should Kidney Functioning Problems Be Treated?

my 4month old male baby has kidney problem by birth, now hospitalized because of less sodium level in blood, this is oscellating 112 to 138 after 3% Nacl solution by IV. Pediatric doctor said the kidneys are not functioning properly. The serem creatine was 5.7 in the 27 day old baby. after one month it was 2.7, after 2 month it was 1.9. after 3 month baby has breathing problem. At that time the serem creatine was 3.6, now creatine is 2.6. What should I do for my baby.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello dear,
Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern.
Your doctor will order two simple tests to check your baby's kidneys—a blood test to check your baby's glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and a urine test to check for protein.
GFR—A blood test measures how much blood kidneys filter each minute, which is known as your GFR (glomerular filtration rate). This shows how well kidneys are working. A GFR of 60 or higher is in the normal range. A GFR below 60 may means kidney disease. We can't raise GFR, but we can try to keep it from going lower. The second step-urography x`ray of kidneys,it will find cause of renal failure, consult genetic doctor also because of,hereditary is the most often cause diseases till year. I think you should start to help to work of kidneys by giving next remedies:
- artichoke is helpful for nehroprotetion;
- ketosteril-essential aminoacids;
- dufalac-for cleaning of intestine;
- Calcium-D3 syrup;
- probiotics -babylac-for normal intestinal flora;
- iron syrup-ferronia -for anaemia(control haemoglobin at the first);
- proper feeding.
Take care
