How Should Knee With Tissue And Nerve Damage, Odema, Pain Be Treated?
i fell at work 4 months ago on the escalator i sliced my knee open and did some damage to my knee. the doctor said that i have nerve damage and tissue damage. he also said i have edema. ive been going to therapy for 3 months and the pain isn t getting any better? now they wanna do a nerve blockage?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you probably got nerve injury and neuroma formation . You also had edema. Treatment of it is elevation of limb and exercises of knee ,leg ,foot and toes. Analgesic such as diclofenac are given for pain relief. Sometimes strong analgesic such as tramadol is given. Even then if pain is not bearable then nerve blockade is planned. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
