How Should Medicines For Parkinson S Disease Be Taken?

my husband has Parkinson. he takes so many meds. rasagiline orall & bupropion HCl. Norvasc , simvastatin, omeprazole, hyzaar, tolterodine, clonazepam. so many of these are not to be taken together because of the reactions. what should I give him and when. he s had PD for about 10 years and he is always sooo tired all the time----

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Medication for parkinsonism disease treatment may vary from onset and continuation of treatment. Initially it may respond to low dose of cardbidopa+Levodopa but later won't again you have to add on other medications like COMT inhibitors or MAo inhibitors etc. But depending upon the response the treatment may vary dose vary. You have consultyour physician regular follow up with frequent checking of your symptoms (Rigidity, tremors, athetosis) with on and off phenomenon or Brady kinesia etc. He will examine and treat you with appropriate medication.
