How Should Persistent Urinary Tract Infection Be Treated?
I went to my doctor about two weeks ago for a UTI. I was given a 7 day antibiotic, took it the way I was supposed to and the UTI went away. But now I'm experiencing symptoms again. Is it possible I have another this soon or did the first one just not go away totally?
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The symptoms seem to be related to a recurrent infection.
I suggest to wait a few days after the antibiotic and do a uroculture to confirm the bacteria and best antibiotic to treat it.
Meanwhile,I suggest to use anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
Hope my answer was helpful.
