How To Avoid Pregnancy Due To An Unprotected Sex?
hi doc, i have missed 2 pills from my althea birth control pills on the 3rd week (15th and 16th), since i remembered to take 2 pills the moment iremmbered it, i took 2 pill rihgt away (15th and 16th), the 17th pill and 18th were taken the next day. i dont know if that will work, and had unprotected sex after 2 days. what should i do not to get pregnant?

You missed your pills during fertile period after that having unprotected sex also.
So there are 15-20% chances of conception.
Go for urine pregnancy test if you miss your period.
Now if you conceive pregnancy can not be avoided .

Hi and welcome to HCM.
It contains Cyproterone acetate, ethinyl estradiol.
Hoe to take: 1 tablet daily without interruption, beginning on the 1st day of menstrual bleeding or start any day as long as there is no pregnancy but use condom for the next 7 days. Take the tablet marked with the corresponding day of the week. Take 1 tablet about the same time everyday, preferably at about the time of the evening meal for 21 days.
It is very important to take the pills regularly to prevent pregnancy.
Missing more than or equal to 2 tablets in a row as in your case increases the risk of unplanned pregnancy. In this case, take the most recently missed tablet as soon as remembered and discard the remaining missed tablets. Resume taking the next scheduled tablet and either abstain from sex or use a back-up form of contraception eg, condom, for 7 days.
You have taken 2 missed pills as soon as u remembered, still chances of pregnancy will be their. Use other forms of contraception as mentioned above.
