How To Best Treat A Asymmetric Crying/ Smiling Face In An 8 Month Old?

Hello, My little boy is 8 month sold and has asymmetric crying face. His smiles are crooked and also his cries, I feel bad because I don t want him growing up self conscious. Can you give me more information on this deformity? Is it curable/treatable? What caused it? Does it become less noticeable? I have read that it is caused by either a weak muscle or a non existent one, if there is treatment who is the best people to go to? Would it be my doctor?

Hi
Basically this pathology is either due to brain pathology or muscle pathology.
Most probably it may be due to 5or 7 crainal nerve pathology.
The best treatement is you should consult pediatric neurophysician and pediatric physiotherapist because in this type of diaease along with medical treatement physiotherapy plays a vital role and i have seen good results of it.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
