How To Confirm If There Is A Fracture On The Cheek Bone?
I was sitting on the sofa with my 3 yr old grandson. He jerked his head back forcefully and hit my cheekbone. I heard a crack and so did my husband. I put ice on it. it throbs but is not excruciating. Do you think a child s head could hit hard enough to fracture my cheekbone. I am 58.

Hi...what you say is a quite good possibility and it depends on the density of the bones and keeping your age in mind there could be some element of osteoporosis and I suggest you consult your physician regarding this. There is a possibility that it might require an X-ray.
