How To Control High BP (190/80) Despite Medication In 82 Year Old?

My mother is of 82 years. She got high blood pressure 6 months back. Even with medicine it goes to 190/80, early morning before any medicine it is 160/65. She is taking Tiromlesar, Metpure. Now we are giving Caligard 5. What wud be your suggestion/advice pl. Thanks

Dear patient,

She is suffering from systolic hypertension, which is more difficult to control in older patients. Goal for her should be 150 or less for upper number. A fourth medication can be added (not unusual in these cases) but before the doses of her 3 medications should be maximized.
