How To Cure A Red And Puffy Cold Sore?

hi my name is jake. at the bottom of my lip I got a cold sore about 2 months ago. it got red and puffy but never went through all its stages. its still puffy and red. the tingling feeling has basically gone away. I was trying abreva, Llysine lip balm. Llysine pills everyday. immune boosting. I was also on valtrax. it is still puffy and red. idk what to think about this. I would like to be able to kiss my gf at some point. its quite depressing at times.

Hello,
As you are mentioning that you are having cold sore since 2 months, but cold sore does not take so much of time to heal, it can be possible that you are having any infection which is taking time to heal.
So it will be better that you should visit a dermatologist for this problem without taking medications on your own as it can worsen the problem.
Thank you.
