How To Cure Blurred Vision And Headache After Hitting Temple Area?
Ok my son was playing with his friends and by accident they hit his temple area and he knocked out for a sec he said and then he said he had blurred vision as well but now he can see good. But now he has like a headache by his temple area what should I do?? Please help
Hi. Sorry to hear about your sons bump on the head. I'm glad to hear that his vision is going back to normal. That is a relief. The headache he has is probably due to injury and swelling of the muscles around the temple. As the swelling goes down. So will the pain.
I would recommend a cold compress for about 10 minutes at a time to help brin the swelling down. If thats not enough some over the counter medication that is safe for children (so not Aspirin) will help. Finally if the pain isn't getting any better or he develops nausea, vomiting, or gets really sleepy and unarousable... then you need to take him to the ER right away so they can rule out an internal bleed and/or fracture of the skull.
I hope this helps and I hope your son is safe now.
