i am suffering with fissure since past 10 months, this is started after my delivery and doctor has suggested me to use cremaffin plus and i am using this syrup since 6 months and as soon as i stop the syrup the problem is repeating..what should b done,i am afraid of surgery
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Fissure-in-ano for 10 months means this is a chronic one. Since you are afraid of surgery and cremaffin plus is helping you so well continue it. Also try the following: Sitz bath in a tub with warm water twice daily. Increase fiber contents in foods. Stop the foods and beverages that cause constipation. Control of stress and anxiety helps a lot. If all these measures fail to give you cure you can get a small surgery of anal dilatation or internal sphincterotomy to get permanent relief. If you had a baby just 10 months ago, why should you be afraid of such a small curative surgery.
