How To Cure Foul Smelling Discharge From Belly Button?
I am female aged 64. Yesterday I noticed a foul smelling discharge from my belly button, it smelled liked blue cheese but stronger. On inspection I have a very red and sore navel, it is really uncomfortable. I have been cleaning it with Iodine since then, is this the correct treatment? I live in Spain by the way.

Symptoms of umbilical discharge could be due to infection. It has to be explored with little surgical procedure and it cannot be treated by any other means. Of course antibiotic can be tried but along with that it may needed surgical intervention. If antibiotics are ever given, then it will give very fast results. However, the symptoms will soon come again unless exploration is done.
