How To Cure Injured Fingers?

I fell off my bed and jammed my finger. I have broken fingers before and I had to get a cast for each one. This time I can t tell. It is not bruised or swollen. I can make a fist but my two bottom parts feel stiff. It is really tender on the inside part of my finger right next to my knuckle. Do you think it is broken? Also should I just go and get a x-ray?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.

It might be soft tissue injury or fracture.
Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.
In the interim, apply ice packs to the affected area,anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid lifting and rest well.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
