General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you for posting.

From what you refer I can say that you suffer from Dysgeusia(distortion of the sense of taste).
Dysgeusia is caused from some factors:
1. Different medicines like antibiotics, antidepressant and antihypertensive medicines.
2. Different diseases like Diabetes mellitus and teeth infections.
3. Teeth restoration.
4. Oral candidose(the most common cause).

You need the following tests to determine the diagnosis:
1. Blood test.
2. Glycemic test, to exclude Diabetes mellitus.
3. Liver function test.
4. Oral culture, to diagnose candidose.

Contact your infectologist and your neurologist.

I hope this information is helpful.

Regards.
Dr. Behar.
