My mother has tested positive for S typhi (o) and S typhi (H) upto 1:80 . i don`t understand the technicality but we are told she is suffering from typhoid. She knows from her medical history that she is a carrier of the bacteria. Is she really suffering from typhoid? Ran fever 2 days ago with nausea and dairrohoea lasting only few hours.

HI
Well come to HCM
Test result need to be correlate with clinical condition for clinical diagnosis because such titration could be positive if patient had a history of typhoid fever, and this may not be active phase of infection, the best way to rule out the possibility of this urine test and stool test for detection of "Salmonella typhii" else this could be anything else if not correlated with clinical condition, hope this information helps, take care.
