Im having a mild pcos. I have been trying for baby for almost 6 months with no avail. I dint get my period for 4 months and recently my doctor prescribe with duphaston for 7 days morning and night to regulate my period. He told me I should get my period by 2 weeks time. And I should return to him on my second day of period. But since now its almost 2 weeks and i havent get my period yet. Im having cramps on my lower stomach at times but with no sign of period. My back ache at times. My feet hurts too and im having pain on my niples. Am I pregnant?
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. You can exclude pregnancy by performing a HPT with a fresh early morning sample. I would say that pregnancy is an unlikely possibility in the current scenario. Regular ovulation is not seen with PCOS in the usual situation. This could be the reason for the delayed period. A trans-vaginal sonogram should be done to evaluate the pelvic organs and also to note the endometrial thickness. Sometimes, if the endometrium is too thick, withdrawal bleeding may take time to ensue. Best results are obtained when factors like tubal patency, uterine response to hormones are good and induction shows quick and good response. Please maintain a healthy weight, healthy diet and regular exercise. Hope this helps.
