How To Get Anesthesia Level Tested By Allergist ?

i had a severe reaction 2 weeks ago when they put me under general anesthesia. Now my Dr wants to have me tested by an allergist. Spoke to my allergist and he told me its nearly impossible to get tested for it , i have the list of all of the medications they gave me and still he tells me he can t do it?

Hi,
There are a number of types of reaction that may occur with anesthesia and it would be important to get this investigated. Allergy to anesthetic drugs is relatively rare. I suggest you contact your anesthesiologist to ask for more details regarding the reaction. If there is a thought that it may be an allergic reaction then I suggest you try another allergist as this information will be important if you have any future anesthetics.
