How To Get Rid Of Awful Smelly Drainage High Behind My Left Nares Passing Though Throat?
After what I thought was a really bad sinus infection taking clindymycin I had something rupture in my neck behind my ear which released a toxic gas. Have seen 5 net and none seem to know what it was. Ct scans show hypo plastic air cells of the mastoid on the left. Eight months later I am having drainage high behind my left nares and feels like it has it's own passage to throat (possible fistula). The drains smells like dirty feet and cheese and have even smelt bone. Was exposed to almost two years ago to construction on my floor where I work as a nurse. At that time I coughed violently for 4 months without relief from antibiotics and steroids and cough medicine. What ever the drainage is it is making me feel sick. Two violets were taken from my enlarged adenoids and were neg.
Hi. You being a nurse should have known better. You need a careful evaluation by an ENT Surgeon and a CT scan of the sinuses and mastoids to locate the primary cause and secondary changes. Once diagnosed well, further treatment can be planned whether Medical alone or followed by surgery to cure the problems and sequel.
