-ok so recently i got over strep throat like last week and it gave me bad breath. im done taking antibiotics but my bad breath is still here. i have a doctors appointment on monday to follow up on my throat but the breath is killing me. what should i do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain strep throat has not been seen to cause such a severe bad breath and it can be due to some other causes like tonsil stones, sinus infections, digestive problems, oral infections etc.. You need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosing the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly.. As of now do warm saline gargles. Gargle with a flavoured mouthwash to mask bad breath.. Chew sugarfree chewing gums containing a mint or menthol flavour.. Reduce the intake of high aroma foods like Garlic and onion.. Drink plenty of water..
Hope this information helps..
