How To Get Rid Of Excessive Mucus Causing Choking Feeling?

I have been told by a dr. that your body makes 3-4 qts. of mucus normally,Mine makes more it is getting to the point where in the mornings it chokes me untill I can cough it up.It constantly feels like I am choking.It s has to stop.It makes me sick to my stomach every day.please help me get rid of this mucus problem.

I can understand your situation and problem.
Excessive mucus production is seen commonly with bronchiectesis and chronic bronchitis.
Bronchiectesis is structural disease of airways in which airways become dilated.
Chronic bronchitis is functional disease of airway causes obstructive defect.
So better to get done
1. Chest x ray to rule out bronchiectesis.
2. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out chronic bronchitis.
Consult your doctor and discuss all these, first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
