How To Get Rid Of Fluid Build Up In Abdomen After Gastric Bypass?
I had gastric bypass last Thursday. My drains closed almost as soon as they took them out and now I have fluid build up in my abdomen and I weigh more than before i went in for surgery. I am following the diet strictly and am walking twice a day. Is there a way I can help get rid of the fluid?
Hello, 1) Was this fluid accumulate inside abdomen? Did this confirmed by any investigation? 2) If fluid accumulate inside abdomen after surgery, then management depend on amount, nature and location of fluid 3) Generally after gastric bypass surgery, fluid accumulate in upper part of abdomen and this fluid would be clear in nature 4) If no fluid was coming through drain and drain was removed then you notice fluid inside abdomen, it is possible that amount of fluid is small and clear in nature 5) Generally such fluid absorbs by body and does not require any intervention.
