Hi Doctor, My child(6.5 months old) passing watery stools for the past 1 week.We gave Entergermina, for 3 days. But still the same continues. We examined the stool and found the Pus cells as 2-4 HPf..Is that someting to worry..Please advise..Thanks in Advance!
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your 6.5 months old child passing watery stools for the past 1 week, giving Enterogermina for 3 days without any effects, stool test showed pus cells of 2-4, wants to know whether there is anything to worry. Since the baby is so small, just 6.5 months old, the possibility of intolerance also needs to be kept in mind. It can be due to intestinal infection as the child of this age starts putting anything in mouth. Hence also ask for a test of lactose intolerance and check what the baby has been given as top-feed. Give a course of an antibiotic as per the clinical evaluation of your Pediatrician and see the results, continue Enterogermina.
