Hi, I have been to my doctors 5 times in as may weeks with what I thought was Sciatica, however one doctor diagnosed it and another said lumbago, it is now diagnosed as back pain, ive been given pain killers over and over however the pain is so intense and to give you an idea I was a passenger in a car yesterday and we went over a bump and it felt like a wide knife came up through the seat into my left buttock and I just cried out in so much pain, it also stops me from moving when I get up from a chair, mornings are just as bad, I lay in the bath and it feels like a lump is there and is very sore.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having sciatica giving rise this problem. This can be mentioned like lumbago, backache, back pain etc. This indicates that you might be having some problem in your lumbo-sacral spine giving rise this problem. Go for x-ray lumbo-sacral region to know about osteoartheritis changes in your vertebral spines or discs. Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined. Go for physiotherapy like back extension exercise. Avoid weight lifting. Ok and take care.
