Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I was having intercourse with my girlfriend and felt a snap on my penis and there was no pain. I pulled it out to see if she was ok but it turned out I had ripped my frenulum. It bled quite badly for about a minute then when I had lost my erection it bled slightly. I washed the area clean with warm water but every time I pulled my foreskin back to check, it would bleed again ever so slightly. How should I go about healing the area, should I keep my foreskin back? Should I keep it forwards? If forwards how can I wash it? Will bleeding stop eventually? Or do I have a slight problem? Could you explain in detail how to heal it and what side effects I may experience? Thanks.
Injury and bleeding from frenulum is likely due to trauma caused during sexual intercourse. The torn frenulum can heal by avoiding sexual intercourse for some time and avoiding pulling foreskin of penis.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
