Dear Sir, My child is 3 months, he has a problem in shoulder bone. Doctors not able to identify whether its a infection or caffey desease and they have recommended biopsy for identification. Please suggest whether any other test is possible to idetify this desease.

Hi,

Caffey's disease suspicion is diagnostically proven by a good radiological examination which means a good x-ray of the part.

A biopsy may prove that, but at the same time, I do not recommend such an invasive investigation for a simple disease like caffey's disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
