hello sir this is sruthi, am25yrs old and am juvinial diabetic since 21years.. from last 2years am suffering from hypo thyroidism,at present am using medtronic insulin pump for diabetes and thyronorm 125mg. from 1year onwards my sugar level aand my thyroid level are not at all controlled and am depressed my weight has been increased from 59kilograms to 73kilograms am not getting how to improve my health condition and reduce my weight.my doctor prescribed me to use nexito 5mg how long should i use that?
Hi. This is very simple. IF the present doses do not improve your diabetes and hypothyroidism, your doctor has to titrate and increase the doses according to the recent reports. As far as possible one / you should avoid antidepressant therapy / depression; as this itself may be the reason for no control of your condition and gaining weight. There are rare diseases with a combination of diabetes + hypothyroidism and other hormonal problems, for which I would suggest you to have a consultation with an Endocrinologist. He may advise you to go for an ultrasonography of neck ( thyroid and parathyroid glands) abdomen ( pancreas and other organs).
