How To Increase Appetite After A Fever?

Hi doc, my daughter had fever two days back...now she is okay, but fever has killed her appetite..I have tried with all sorts of food..but she refuses...she loves to drink water and eats breast milk...otherwise she was a food lover...can you suggest some remedy to increase her appetite. She is nine months old. Thanks

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history about your 9 months old baby having had fever and lost appetite, refuses all sort of foods, she loves to drink water and breast milk; wants to know some remedy to improve her appetite...
Since a 9 month old baby can not speak and tell what the problem is, we have to judge many factors explaining the loss of appetite, some of them are:
Fever make bad taste of mouth.
Fever itself can make reduction in appetite.
Hepatitis can cause loss of appetite.
Intestinal problems also can cause the same.
I would advise you to take her to the Pediatrician for proper clinical evaluation and investigations as to find the cause and get corrected asap.
Try feeding water and breast milk till them.
With time this should improve.
