Hello and welcome to HCM, The time of ovulation is 14 days before menstruation. The time is fairly constant irrespective of the duration of the cycle. There are other methods to determine the time of ovulation. Ovulation is marked by fall in body temperature. This method is called basal body temperature measurement. The other method is examining the cervical mucus. The cervical mucus becomes thin and sticky during the ovulation. You can also go for follicular scan to determine ovulation time. The dominant follicle enlarges as the ovulation advances. Usually a combination of all these methods is followed to determine the time of ovulation.
