Hi

Calpol (Paracetamol) is the safest medicine for kids. Dosage must be adequate. 15mg/kg/dose given every 6 hrs is the right dosage.

Along with Calpol you may give him tepid sponging with tap water.

In case you are giving him Meftal P, you may give it thrice a day.
Give him plenty of fluids. If its a viral fever it might take 4 to 5 days to get okay.
Just keep a note on his activity and urine frequency. If he is dull or lethargic/ irritable and cranky/ does not drink well/ urine output is less than 4 to 5 times in a day, then please do not hesitate to visit your Pediatrician.

For the constipation, include plenty of fluids (Water, juices, coconut water, soups) and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in his diet.

Hope this answers your query.
Wish your son a speedy recovery.
