First I want to tell you that masturbation is not abnormal and is a normal part of sexuality.
If, however, you are finding that it has become excessive or interfering with normal activities, such as feeling the need to do this several times a day, then it may be a compulsive behavior. In that case, some medications that are used to treat obsessive compulsive behavior may be helpful. Often, SSRI medications are used to for this. These are most effective for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when used at higher doses (but started at a lower dose and gradually increased). Consider seeing your family doctor or a psychiatrist to discuss whether treatment might be appropriate.
I hope this information helps.
