How To Overcome The Muscle Spasms In My Legs, Arms And Chest?

Muscle spasms in my legs, arms, chest, esophagus etc. (can be visibly seen. Looks like rippling waves). makes my legs feel weak. This occurs on and off throughout the day, every day. Sometimes it feels like it is causing a problem with my heart but my blood pressure and pulse don't change much. This has been going on for at least a couple of month after getting off of a statin (Livalo) which is why I stopped taking it. the symptoms are getting more pronounce. Would the statin have cause this and will it go away. Is there something I an take to help. I spend a lot of time on the couch because of the discomfort and weakness.

Hello,

I have studied your case.

Yes statins will lead to musculoskeletal pain.
You can stop it consulting your doctor.
Muscle cramps can be reduced by
Massaging the cramped muscle with your hands or oil
Drinking plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration
Stretching your leg muscles or riding a stationary cycle.
Taking diet rich in calcium and potassium or oral supplements of the same
Check your vit B12 and Vit D 3 levels.

Till time, avoid lifting weights, You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
