How To Overcome Tiredness?

I am 64 years old and work full time, single, own my small home with large yard. I have help with the yard but no help in the house. My job as an accountant is seated and mentally tiring. I find that even on vacation that after about 6 hours I am exhausted and really mentally and physically tired I wake up about 6:am and have to be at work at 8:am and by noon all my energy to gone even on my days off. What can I do to extend my day?

Hi, thanks for posting your concern to HCM. A healthy diet including consumption of a fresh fruit everyday alongwith a session of exercise or yoga (30 min/day) and a relaxation session (30min./day) and a good sleep can solve your problem. Long monotonous working hours can cause several occupational mental disorders including anxiety and depressive disorder. Mindfulness training session may also help you out. Alongwith these, I would suggest you to check your BP, sugar level and lipid profile every 6 months to screen out non-communicable diseases. I would also suggest to check whether you feel dizzy or drowsy during the daytime to rule out any sleep cycle disorder. You may also consult a psychiatrist who will be able to rule out any anxiety or depressive disorder. For any further query, please write back to HCM. Best wishes.
