How To Prevent Severe Pain After Receiving Gel-One Injections?

My last gel one injections were the most painful experiences I’ve ever had. The ortho dr assured me it’s not supposed to hurt that much. I experienced enough pain hat I went to the er 8 days after the injections. Any thoughts or advise to prevent this the next time ?
