How To Prevent Side Effects Of Metronidazole 500 Pills?
Hi. My doctor prescribed metronidanole 500 mg 4 tablets immediately taken on saturday. I m still itching and I know that itching is a side effect of the medicine. Should I worry that the medicine did not work or should I get some medicine for the itching and give the medicine more time in my system.

Itching can be due to allergy to the drug.If you are allergic to drug,its best to stop the drug and use an alternative drug since allergy can lead to more severe problems like breathlessness and even anaphylaxis which is a life threatening condition.So its best for you to consult your local doctor so that he can examine you and make sure if your itching is actually due to allergy and if so, he can change the drug for you.
