Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Stomach upset as well as feeling heavy gases after eating is indicative of one of the following reasons:
Sub-clinical form of gastroenteritis wherein an incomplete treatment has been given or not completed by you.
Intolerance to certain fodds and beverages.
Stress and anxiety related causing IBS that is irritable syndrome.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get the stool tests for three consecutive days.
Tests of blood for liver, thyroid and pancreas functions.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen and CT scan to confirm suspected problems.
Colonoscopy and upper GI endoscopy.
If all the investigations are normal this most probably is irritable bowel syndrome wherein you have to have a great control over stress and anxiety with medications if required.
If a course is found during the curse of an investigations, get this corrected with medications and your problems will be abated provided you avoid all the factors, food and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems that you have.
I find this answer helpful
